Hosted by the Canadian Association of College & University Student Services
“Amidst the challenging backdrop of COVID-19, post-secondary campuses – whether big or small, rural or urban – are continuing to build on their commitment to support their students’ optimal mental health and well-being. Many are gaining insights and guidance from the National Standard of Canada for Mental Health and Well-Being for Post-Secondary Students. This voluntary Standard – championed by the Mental Health Commission of Canada (MHCC) in collaboration with CSA Group – is the first of its kind in the world. Since the Standard’s release in 2020, many post-secondary changemakers are looking to learn from one another’s journeys and gain practical tips they can apply to their own unique contexts.
This National Roundtable on Post-Secondary Mental Health will bring together campus mental health and well-being leaders from across Canada for a series of dynamic and insightful conversations. Session topics will be confirmed with your input upon registration but may include strategies for Standard implementation; equity, diversity and inclusion; data collection, and evaluation; examining policies through a mental health lens, and more. This will be an opportunity to celebrate successes – both large and small – and gain inspiration for the summer and new academic year ahead.
Register today (for free) to join the MHCC, CACUSS and other leading voices to take part in this national dialogue on Thursday, May 5th starting at 11:30am ET.”
