Join Dr. Andrew Szeto, Director of Mental Health Strategy at the University of Calgary, for an interactive part 2 to our series exploring the Canadian Campus Well-being Survey Tableau Dashboard. Participants will follow along on their own devices as Dr. Szeto dives further into a demonstration of the dashboard’s functionalities. This session will include opportunities for participants to engage in discussions with colleagues from other campuses, exchanging approaches and strategies to foster deeper understanding and practical use of the survey data. Caroline Wu and Lex Derkach from the CCWS team will also be present to address questions and provide additional insights.

Speakers
Dr. Andrew Szeto
Dr. Andrew Szeto is currently the Director of the Campus Mental Health Strategy at the University of Calgary responsible for guiding the implementation of the 28 recommendations within the strategy. He is also a Principal Investigator at the Mental Health Commission of Canada and an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of Calgary. Dr. Szeto’s research involves the development, implementation, and evaluation of mental illness stigma reduction and mental health promotion programs for various audiences across Canada. He has also published academic articles on various topics related to mental health and the stigma of mental illness.
Caroline Wu
Caroline Wu is a Master of Arts student at the University of British Columbia. Her research explores how post-secondary institutions are disseminating and utilizing the Canadian Campus Wellbeing Survey (CCWS) data in programs and policies.
Recently, she began working as the program coordinator for the CCWS. In this role, she assists institutions deploy the CCWS survey on their campus.
She holds a Bachelor of Kinesiology with a minor in Arts from the University of British Columbia.
Lex Derkach
Lex Derkach, M.Sc., is a CCWS Research Analyst at the University of British Columbia, where he helps institutions with their survey deployments and prepares reports for the Canadian Campus Wellbeing Survey (CCWS).
Currently, he is focused on reimagining the reports provided by CCWS to better serve institutional needs, bridging the gap between data and actions for institutions aiming to improve campus wellbeing.
He holds a Master’s degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from Bellevue University and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Calgary.
