This article examines the need to embed culturally inclusive services across Canadian campuses to address the specific challenges faced by international students including higher suicide ideations, levels of stress and challenges with connection. The argument about the importance of establishing cultural safety is presented, together with background information on its theories and history. The paper’s discussion examines the limitations and effects of this strategy as well as how it may be applied on campus at both the individual and institutional levels.
