Posttraumatic growth is defined as “the experience of positive change that occurs as a result of the struggle with highly challenging life crises” (Tedeschi & Calhoun, 2004). This concept is relevant in a time when collective trauma and returning to “normal” are a part of conversations on post-secondary campuses. This webinar features Alberta-based expert Dr. Charl Els, who will provide an overview of emerging research related to posttraumatic growth to foster trauma-informed leadership in post-secondary settings. Participants will learn how stress and adversity can foster strength and resiliency, and how to improve outcomes and satisfaction.
